A New Home for the Temecula Valley Fine Arts Museum & Gallery
After months of searching, visiting locations, and carefully weighing what would truly work for our vision, we’re excited to share a major milestone: we have selected our site for the Temecula Valley Fine Arts Museum & Gallery.
Finding the right space wasn’t just about square footage. We wanted a location that fits the spirit of the museum, supports a positive visitor experience, and gives us room to grow over time. Choosing a home for a museum is a big step, and we’re grateful to finally be at this point.
While this is an important update, we also want to be clear about where we are in the process. The museum will not be officially open to the public until we receive final clearance and approvals from the City of Temecula. We’re committed to doing everything the right way and working in partnership with the city as we move through each step.
In the meantime, selecting the site allows us to continue building the foundation of the museum behind the scenes. Even before we open our doors to the public, we can operate key business functions from the office, including planning, exhibit development, collections organization, administrative work, volunteer coordination, and education programming.
We want to offer a sincere thank you to the City of Temecula staff, department personnel, and city leaders who have helped guide us through the process so far. We appreciate the time, professionalism, and support we’ve experienced. And to the people of Temecula, thank you for the encouragement and excitement you’ve shared with us. This museum is being built for the community, and we want it to be shaped with the community as well.
The Temecula Valley Fine Arts Museum & Gallery is being developed as a welcoming space where people can experience fine art up close in a setting that feels approachable, educational, and meaningful. Our long-term vision includes rotating exhibitions, educational experiences for schools and community groups, artist talks, workshops, and a small gift shop that supports the museum’s mission.
This museum is also a project of the Community Youth Athletic, Art, and Academic Program (CYAP), a nonprofit established in 2004. CYAP was founded on the belief that communities thrive when young people and families have access to opportunity, mentorship, and experiences that expand what they believe is possible. The museum is a natural extension of that mission, because the arts are not extra, they are essential. Art builds confidence, strengthens perspective, and creates conversations that bring people together.
We’ll continue to share updates as we move forward, including progress on approvals, volunteer opportunities, partnership announcements, and previews of what we’re building. We’re excited about what’s ahead, and we’re thankful to be taking these steps with the support of Temecula.
Thank you for being part of this journey. We look forward to welcoming you officially when the time comes.ost content
