FAQs

What kind of art does the Temecula Valley Fine Art Museum and Gallery (CYAP) exhibit?

We focus on a mix of classical, modern, and contemporary fine art. Our collections and exhibits include paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture, mixed media, and photography from both well-known masters and emerging artists. We also highlight regional and culturally diverse artists whose work reflects the history, stories, and voices of the Temecula Valley and beyond.

Is the museum family-friendly?

Yes. The museum is designed to be welcoming to visitors of all ages. Many exhibits are suitable for school groups, families, and community tours. While we respect artistic freedom, we follow a clear content policy. We may use signage or placement for works that address sensitive topics so parents and educators can make informed choices.

How can I submit my work to be considered for an exhibition?

Artists can submit their work for review through our “Call for Artists” process. We typically request:

  • A short artist statement

  • Images of your work (with titles, sizes, and medium)

  • A brief biography or CV

Our curatorial team reviews all submissions based on quality, fit with our mission, and available exhibition space. We also ask artists to review and agree to our Exhibition & Content Policy before final acceptance.

Do you accept art donations or loans for the collection?

Yes, we consider both donations and loans, especially works that align with our mission and focus on fine art, cultural history, and visual storytelling. Because space and conservation standards are important, each potential donation or loan is reviewed individually. If you are interested in donating or lending a piece, please contact us with photos, basic details (artist, size, medium, condition), and any known history or appraisal information.

What kinds of programs and events does the museum offer?

The Temecula Valley Fine Art Museum and Gallery (CYAP) plans a variety of programs, including:

  • Rotating exhibitions featuring regional and international artists

  • Youth and family art activities

  • Workshops and classes for adults and teens

  • Artist talks, lectures, and panel discussions

  • Community events and special openings

As we grow, we will also introduce school partnerships, poetry and creative writing events, and collaborative programs with local organizations. Updated program information will be posted on our website and social media.
